Can I be seen without a physician's referral?
In the state of Georgia you may be seen by a physical therapist for an initial evaluation without a doctor's referral. After the evaluation, if the physical therapist determines that you would benefit from physical therapy you will need to obtain a referral from a physician to continue with physical therapy. The referral for physical therapy can come from your primary care doctor, a specialist, dentist, osteopath, OB-GYN, and chiropractor. Your therapist will send their findings to your physician as well as progress notes throughout the course of your therapy.

What should I wear to my Physical Therapy, Pilates or Gyrotonic® Session?

You should wear clothes that you feel comfortable moving in. Sweat pants, workout shorts, and t-shirts are all perfectly acceptable. Pilates and Gyrotonic® exercises are done in bare or sock feet. However, for Physical Therapy session we request you bring or wear you athletic shoes.
